Anthony Frost was born the son of artist Sir Terry Frost RA in 1951 in St Ives, Cornwall. Frost has lectured art at Falmouth School of Art, Canterbury School of Art, University of East London, and Anglia University. He has been artist in residence at the Cyprus School of Art, Montmiral School of painting, Tarn, France and was Judge and Organiser at the Seven Celtic Artists Exhibition, Finnistere, France.
Anthony has been working in Cornwall since he graduated from Cardiff College of Art and lives deep within the West Penwith rural landscapes of Rosemergy on the Atlantic coast, exhibiting regularly with the Newlyn Society of Artists.
Frost’s work is heavily inspired by music, perhaps more so than by other visual artists, and comes to light in his vibrant and brightly-coloured abstract prints and collages. A great fan of The Fall, Anthony’s work has appeared on several of the post-punk band’s album covers.
Having exhibited in many of the UK’s major galleries, Frost’s works are included in the public art collections of the Kasser Mochary Foundation, New York and King's College, Cambridge.
