Ceri has an MA in Interior Architecture and worked in the profession for over 20 years; this instilled a profound appreciation of the effects of environment on our wellbeing & the importance of connection to nature. Based in rural Northumberland, Ceri is inspired by the wild, rugged landscape; the transience of light; nature’s energy & feelings of spaciousness - qualities which she seeks to evoke in her work. Ceri’s process is intuitive and expressive - a response to the rawness of nature. Acrylic paint is built up in layers, incorporating textures, such as sand & plaster, to create a rich, tactile surface.
